    Why advertise on Instagram?

Instagram has more than 1 billion monthly active users worldwide. Gen Z and millennials dominate the platform, and user acquisition is growing decently.

It offers advertisers a diverse online community and unlimited marketing potential. Research shows that most adult Instagram users in the U.S. say they use the platform every day.

Instagram users are also highly engaged when it comes to a log-in frequency — Instagram is the king of social media, with an engagement rate of 4.21%, according to Forrester.

Is it expensive to advertise on Instagram?

Like Facebook, there is no set price for advertising on Instagram. The cost of running an ad depends on the target audience, time of year, type of target device, demographics (location and age), industry competitiveness, and location.

The best way to determine a budget is to set up a campaign design in Ads Manager and look for estimated daily results modules and target audience definitions. That way, you’ll know if you have enough budget to reach the desired audience within the allotted time.

You can start with a few dollars and increase based on your success: Revealbotdata’s average CPC for Instagram in the U.S. was $1.28 per click in July 2021.

What is the difference between a regular post and a promoted post?

Instagram’s Promoted Posts feature allows ordinary Instagram posts, stories, and highlights to be turned into sponsored posts for a small fee. These posts will be marked with the “Sponsored” symbol and appear below your Instagram handle.
For example, a particularly successful post can be used as a promotion to further increase engagement. You can promote a post in the app by clicking “Promote” below the desired post.

Promoted posts can increase your Instagram audience and make your content known to those who haven’t seen it organically. You can customize an audience for your promoted posts or let the network automatically create an audience that might be interested in your business.

How do I know if these ads and promoted posts are working?

From your Instagram profile, tap “Actions,” then “Previous Actions.” Next, choose one of your previously promoted posts. Here, you can see the type of audience that viewed the post, the amount spent, the number of visits to your profile, and interactions.
You can also see how many people who saw your posts unfollowed you and the number of impressions. You can also see your audience’s gender, age group, and location.
